Kitchen Trash or Recycling Removal

Nobody films trash runs, which is exactly why a model has never learned them properly. Pulling a full bag from a bin, tying it without touching what is inside, carrying it through a crowded kitchen without bumping a cook, and heaving it into a dumpster that is already half full is a real physical task done many times a shift. Cardboard has to be broken down and flattened. Grease goes to a separate container.

We capture these runs with a head-mounted camera on the worker and fixed cameras in the kitchen and at the back door. The footage shows bag lift and twist, the moment a bag is too heavy and gets double-bagged, the back-of-house path to the dumpster, the lid being lifted with one hand while the other swings the bag, and the return trip with a new liner. It includes the box cutter opening cardboard along the seams and the stack being carried out.

A worker makes constant small decisions here. They test bag weight before lifting fully. They choose which hand carries which bag based on the doorway ahead. They avoid the wet spot on the floor.

Each run is an episode broken into steps with labels like "tie bag", "transport to dumpster", "flatten cardboard", and "replace liner", tagged for success or failure. Hand and object tracking are available on request. The dataset ships in your format, to your storage, with a per-batch manifest. Participants are consented and paid.
