Vehicle Maintenance or Repair

General repair is the open-ended end of auto work. A car comes in with a noise, and the technician has to find it, order the part, pull half the engine bay apart to reach it, fix it, put everything back, and test drive. The sequence is different every time, and the skill is in the diagnosis and the disassembly as much as in the repair.

Over a shift our footage shows brake jobs, suspension work, belt and hose replacement, alternator swaps, coolant flushes, diagnostic scanning, and the long periods of searching for a bolt that dropped into the subframe. Technicians use lifts, scan tools, torque wrenches, pry bars, and a lot of flashlights.

Head cameras capture the view into the engine bay and under the car, where fixed cameras cannot reach. Fixed cameras in the bay record posture, tool selection, and movement between the car and the bench. The streams are synchronized. We record complete shifts in operating independent and dealership workshops in five countries.

A researcher receives episodes per job, segmented into steps with plain-language labels and success or failure tags. Hand, tool, and part tracking is available on request. We write the dataset into your cloud storage using whatever schema your pipeline reads. Participants are paid and have agreed to the use of their footage, including commercial model training.

A sample is sent within a business day of a request.
